FAMILY VISA - UNITED KINGDOM
UK Family visa allows residents of UK to sponsor their partners, children and elderly dependent relatives to come and live in United Kingdom.
PartnersAn individual is allowed to stay in UK provided that the husband, wife or civil partner is at least 21 years of age and you are legally married or have a registered civil partnership. The UK resident must have adequate accommodation and funds to maintain the dependents. Visa is granted for a period of 2 years which can lead to ILR.
ChildrenThe permanent residents of UK have a permission to bring their children to UK permanently. The temporary residents can bring their children to UK for the time limit of their visa. If one parent is living in another country then visa is generally not granted for children in UK unless some genuine reasons are stated.
Elderly Dependent RelativesThe elderly dependent relatives like parents or grandparents of a British resident are permitted to settle in UK. The widowed mothers or fathers above 65 years of age or parents or grandparents, anyone above 65 years of age can join the settled person in UK. The evidence of their dependence should be provided to get entry clearance to UK.
Marriage and Civil PartnershipThis category visa allows the UK resident to bring up the husband, wife or civil partner to UK after providing the required documents. Both of the partners must be at least 21 years of age.
